Silicon-manganese (7126, -152.00, -2.09%) : The inquiry price of steel bidding has dropped. The supply and demand structure remains relatively loose, and the fundamental support is limited. The trend may still mainly follow the overall fluctuations of the black market. From the perspective of news, there have been new developments in mainstream steel bidding. A large steel group in Hebei Province tendered 11,700 tons of silicon-manganese in June, an increase of 100 tons compared to May. The inquiry for silicon-manganese in June was 5,500 CNY per ton, a decrease of 350CNY per ton compared to the pricing in May. Pay attention to the final pricing situation. On the cost side, overseas quotations for manganese ore to China have fluctuated and declined. In July, the quotations for manganese ore from both Comilau and United Mining to China dropped by 0.15 US dollars per tonne compared with the previous month. The port manganese ore quotations slightly declined compared with the previous week. This week, the price of Australian ore dropped by 1.5CNY/ ton-per-hour to 39.5CNY/ ton-per-hour, and the price of semi-carbonic acid in South Africa decreased by 0.1CNY/ ton-per-hour to 32.7CNY/ ton-per-hour. The cost support weakened. From the perspective of supply and demand, the weekly output of silicon and manganese has been continuously rising from a low level. Data from China Steel United shows that as of this week, the weekly output of silicon and manganese was approximately 173,400 tons, increasing by 0.88% week-on-week, marking a consecutive four-week increase. On the demand side, the weekly demand for silicon and manganese from sample steel mills continued to decline compared with the previous week, and the weekly decline rate showed an expanding trend. The output of rebar was also at a relatively low level in the same period in recent years. The support from the demand side was relatively weak. On the inventory side, under the relatively loose supply and demand situation, the inventories of the sample enterprises have accumulated month-on-month. As of the end of this weekend, the inventories of 63 sample enterprises reached 195,900 tons, an increase of 5% month-on-month. Overall, the supply and demand structure is relatively loose, and the cost support is weak. There is no strong driving force for the price of silicon and manganese. However, with the price being absolutely low and without many new negative factors disturbing it, it is expected that the short-term market will still mainly fluctuate at a low level. The situation at the mining end needs to be continuously monitored. In addition, pay attention to the changes in market sentiment and the progress of mainstream steel bidding.
